Recently I have seen recipes with Carahell. The description sounds like malto dextrin and I was wondering if they are the same or would carahell have more to offer?
Carahell is more a pale crystal, like a C10 or so, iirc. Carafoam is closer to a Carapils, which is closer to maltodextrin. Maltodextrin is a powdered brewing sugar, not a grain.
