As stated above, you should be fine. I used about 4 oz of cane sugar for my hefe and after 10 days it seemed to be on its way. It's been about week since then, so I'm tempted to try another just to make sure it's carbing :)
 
By the way, I'm about to bottle a German heffe. A Paulaner clone and was wondering is cane sugar would give more carbonation or not. (paulaner is heavily carbed to counteract the sweetness and low ibu)
 
Cane sugar will give you more carbonation than an equivalent amount (by weight) of corn sugar. Use either, just adjust the amount to your needs.
