I realize this might be a dumb questions but...can you store and unopened Wyeast Lager yeast in the fridge? The fridge is much colder then the fermenting temps for the yeast but I just want to make sure.

Actual it will not stay fresh unless you store it cold. In the fridge is perfect. A couple of days at room temp and it will be spoiled. This is true for liquid ale yeast as well.

When your ready to use it, bring it out and let it warm slowly to match the wort temp before pitching. Pitching it cold could potentialy shock the yeast.
