I am new to kegging, I have been brewing for a few years with a year long break in between, while I was waiting to buy my first house. Now I have it and bough some kegs a keg system and will be buying a freezer to convert this weekend. I have been brewing with a friend and would like to split the batches, I am not capable of doing 10 gallon batches yet and I am wondering if it is ok to fill a keg up half way, and then carb it. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

No problem with that. Just purge with co2 after filling to get all the oxygen out. After that it's no different than drinking half the keg and it sitting half empty.

Great that is what I was thinking but I figured I would make sure before I mess up a batch.
