I have an empty CO2 tank that I want to get filled before work this week, If I fill it up and leave it in my hot car for an 8 hour shift am I asking for trouble?

Or can the CO2 tank take it?

I have an inverted, full, 20 lb cylinder of CO2 sitting at 800 psi. How safe would it be to use a heating pad to increase the standing pressure to 1,500 psi? At what pressure does the safety release valve purge at? Thanks!

Why do you have an inverted tank? That will draw liquid CO2 from the tank, which isn't safe unless you're a minority of people that need liquid CO2, but that's not homebrewers. And if liquid is needed the best way is a tank with a dip tube, not an inverted tank.

And why are you trying to raise the pressure? That also doesn't sound safe.

Overall this all sounds like a bad idea. Don't play with compresed gas tanks.

FYI it's not a relief valve but a burst disk. Once it bursts due to overpressure, the entire tank will be very quickly and loudly dumped. And if you have an inverted tank when that happens, the entire tank will be dumped liquid which will flash freeze into dry ice and cause serious personal injury to anyone standing nearby. Again, stop doing what you are doing, please!

About as safe as playing Russian roulette.

It will blow and cause world wide extinction. For the sake of the planet dont do it.
