Can i use this keg?

I just bought a 7.5 gallon domestic keg with tap for $15 at a garage sale. Can this be used for refilling with my homebrew beer or is there some special equipment needed for filling? If not I figure I'll make a boil kettle out of it. Any suggestions?

yes you can fill it and use it, there is a video on youtube for taking the spear out if you haven't done that before.

I have two of them and use them for fermenting (secondary) - I have a sanke tap so I can flush with co2 and leave it. Easy to stack and store.
