I have been making Kombucha for almost a year now. I took a course which made things really easy.

However, burping all the bottles daily and dealing with mini explosions are getting tiresome.

Can I put a wing bung and and airlock on my bottles to deal with this ?

Thanks

Great.

750 mil growlers. I get about 6 filler 3/4 way with each batch.

I have tried the 1 ltr bottles but too big.

Appreciate you help.
Ian.

Sorry, thread got lost and I really don't rem6where I was going with my questioning.

Was probably thinking, why not fermenting in a larger 1-2 gal container then transfer to smaller bottles.

Also, not sure about the psi rating for growles, but I use champagne bottles whenever I am concerned about pressure.

Plus, champagne bottles are expensive, so ut is more cost effective to drink and reuse a bottle than to buy an empty. Win-win!
