Can I add more water?????

Does anyone have any idea? When I made this last brew soe boiled over so I didn't want to add to much water. I have had it in the keg and its ready to go so I tried it and WOW. Tons of flavor but I should have added more water.

Does anyone know if it is ok to add water after it has fermentated? Will it ruin it? Could I just add water and more Co2?

Sure. Just boil & cool the water. Make sure you don't aerate the beer when you add it. I've used a funnel with tubing attached & poured it in slowly, filling from the bottom up. Once you get it filled up just purge the head space with CO2 & then gently rock the keg to blend it thoroughly. Put it back on CO2 & let it mellow out a few days. Oh ya, make sure everything is sanitized. Cheers!!!

How much water are we talking about? If you add too much, the great flavor may be diluted. You may be better off with 4 gallons of great beer, than 5 gallons of ok beer.

Draw off 10 oz and add soda water 1/2 ounce at a time. Mix gently. It's easy to over do it. Once you've got the dilution ratio set, then follow hamiltont's instructions.

I just did the same thing with a Maibock/Oktoberfest just a few minutes ago. I was listening to the Jamil Show and they said it can be done.
Anyway, my beer was full of flavor, more than I wanted. Definitely a Bock. The beer was little too cloying for me. I ended up adding an entire gallon of spring water. I wanted an easy drinker, so I diluted it with a gallon of spring water.


I'll report my findings in a couple of days.
