Campden Instead of Bottled Water

My tap water is heavily chlorinated and I believe contains chloramine based on the data from town water company. I have to use a Brita filter just to drink it, therefore I have to use bottled water in my extract brewing.

I'm going to start brewing more often so the trips to the grocery store and cost for bottle water are going to add up.

I have a bottle of Campden tablets. I plan on splitting in half a Campden tablet, crushing it, and dissolving in six gallons of water. Next I want to sanitize with Star San six empty Poland Spring one gallon containers and store the dechlorinated water for future use for each brew.

Will water treated with Campden tablets harm the yeast or inhibit fermentation?

Yes

I do this all the time but my water is drinkable without filtering (It does have some chlorine in it) I treat the water the day before or at least 30 minutes before brewing. I store the treated water to be used in the boil in my fermentor. Water to be boiled does not need to be stored in sanitized containers.
