So I read a thread on people's hobbies that are getting neglected and saw several car guys pipe up. Spring's here so its time to pull off the car covers. Let's see everybody's cars! Here's my baby. There are lots more pictures here tylerdurden26 - 72 Comet GT 302 with serious engine work, T5 5 speed upgrade, new rearend, new front suspension...All kinds of goodies :rockin:

Nice ride.

We have a Chrysler 300, a F-250 diesel, and a '67 stang in the driveway.

What a mix huh? We just recently sold a Thunderbird turbo coupe. I loved that car, but it was time for it to go.

Cars are interesting, we collect them. Everyday I drive a company car so it's not pretty or powerful. But we have three nomad's a 55, 56 & 57. We also have a litte 63 El Camino and a 63 Futura and a 1980 Mercedes Convertable roadster. HWMBC is really a car guy but when he wants something extra he says it is mine. LOL

1968 Chrysler 300. Pretty cool story behind it: It was my fathers car back in the 80's, however he had to sell it because he was putting a down payment on a house (I was being born, so they needed to get a bigger place)

A couple of months ago, my father found his exact car in FL. Bought it back.

It is currently going through a full restoration.

I love it when there are stories like this behind the car. My 1st car was a hand me down from my older brother it was a 63 barracuda fast back, it was one of the small scale ones with the bubbled fast back. It was metal flake gold with gold leather interior, I loved that car. I lived in the country and that car was FREEDOM. If I could find it, now that would be one to catch.

I can't wait until it is completed. High optioned car too - we have the VIN being sent to Galen Govier right now to find out how many with the same options exist.
-A/C
-Cruise Control
-Power Seats
-Power vent windows
-440 TNT motor (not the standard 440)
-AM/FM AMPED stereo system
-high beam sensor ("the eye")

the list goes on. It's surprisingly a colum shift without a tach, however it has all of the go-fast and high end options on the car. Considering the car spent nearly it's entire life in new england the body is in great shape, and the motor is near perfect.

OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!!

I just pulled the car cover off my 2008 Mustang GT this past week. Much more fun to drive than my 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan.

I've got a 1970 Torino GT Convertible with a 429 big block. It's bored .060 with a pretty lumpy cam. I restored it from a quarter-less Wisconsin rust-baby with a seized 302.

I've also got two project cars that aren't running yet.

A 1963 Fairlane 2-door sedan, it's only got the 200 ci 6 cylinder but the car is a time capsule. It's a Detroit DSO (district sales office) and spent it's entire life in Hamtramck, but there's no rot and it only has 7560.8 miles.

Finally, I've got one more 1963 Fairlane. It's a sports coupe (2 door hardtop) with a full tube chassis, ladder bars, 6-point roll cage, and a fuel cell, but no engine or transmission and little glass.

Wow, I don't have any old-school car porn in my driveway (or parking space...I live in an apartment, after all), but I am a car geek of the highest degree. And I have a thing for Saturns. Sue me.

My now-resting-in-car-heaven autocrossing '93 SL2 (stripped out, intake, header, straight pipe exhaust, H&R race springs, KYB struts, Yokohama R compound shoes, Sparco seat, Simpson harness):

My daily-driven-until-the-engine-died '97 SC2 (AEM intake, cat-back exhaust, Rota Subzeros with Kuhmo 711s, Intrax lowering springs, KYB struts):

My current daily driver, on which I did my first in-car clutch job, an '00 SL2:

I think i need a towel... I heart station wagons.
hahaha. Should I not tell you that it has a 390 big block (factory) with a nice lumpy cam, 650cfm 4bbl+RPM manifold and 2.5" piping the whole way back?

..and power windows, power bench seat, a/c, am/fm... power rear window, yadda yadda yadda...:D

Great looking car. I really like the wheels/color combination.

Sneaky Sneaky! On my old neon (98 r/t) I had the spray mounted on the underside of my intake with braided line that ran with my fuel line - most people thought it was just the fuel line itself. 50 shot gave me 60whp/80wtq (202whp/200lb/ft) I miss that car terribly.

i've never put mine on the dyno, but i have a 75 shot. it's fun pulling up next to college kids that are in there mom's stock mustangs and purging the spray. they usually try to race and they usually get caught in my rear view mirror.

Haha sneaky stuff with the nitrous there. I had a kit that was ready to install on the green coupe pictured above, and then the engine decided it needed to take a nap. Forever. RIP engine block. Had a nice crack between two cylinders. I would've replaced it myself, but that car was a money pit already, so I said screw it and got rid of it.

Ive got a 1967 mustang coup. A bit of damage to right rear quarter pannel from previous owner and a bit of bondo where it was said there was none. Right now ive still got to figure out why she wont run...again. Once funds are good again ill most likely strip her down and start from scratch.
