Having an issue with C02 pressure on my kegerator. This was my first time using it. When I initially hooked my C02 up I was unable to turn the psi down after force carbonation (turning the pressure screw all the open or closed wouldn’t budge the pressure) I had to turn down the pressure using the C02 shut-off valve.

After sampling, the beer is barely carbonated at all. Now I can’t get the C02 pressure to go above 18 or so PSI.

Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

If you turn the pressure down on your regulator, the gauge won't read a difference in pressure until you purge the keg. You have to turn down the regulator and purge the keg to see the new pressure.

As far as not getting above 18, have you opened the regulator more?

I’ll go ahead and purge the keg.
But yes I had everything open all the way.
