Burner placement

How far below the brew kettle should the burner be placed?

You'll find user recomendations from 2"-6" but it more depends on the flow of gas and air/gas mixture. You'll see a lot of stands built with the capabilities of adjusting the buring up or down.

Depends on the burner really. I am 3" with BG14's

Also depends on kettle vs keggle. You'll find different recommendations for each even on the same burner.

I think my Blichmanns are set for 3.25"...
