Hi There,
I just brewed up my second batch of homebrew yesterday and things didn't go as smoothly as the first time
When I went to add the malt extract I didn't get to stirring as quickly as I should have and a little bit of it burned on the bottom of the pot, is that going to greatly affect the outcome of the beer? I brewed a clone of Sierra Nevada. Second question, I was using a white labs liquid yeast which said to shake it up before adding, which I did, but when I opened it the yeast practically exploded and I think I lost about a 1/4 of the bottle. Is that going to effect the fermentation? I was planning on buying another bottle of the yeast today in case I need to pitch again, but how long should I wait to see if the yeast is working before I pitch again? One day? Two days? I think that is all my questions for now, thanks all! Cheers!
