anyone bulk ageing in better bottles? say up to a year. I have 5 gal red grape and 5 gal apple wine that I would like to bulk age. My question is are the Better Bottles as good as glass carboys.

Ask 100 people and 50 will say yes and 50 will say no.

I leave wine in my plastic for 6 months and have not oxidized one yet.

I usually cold crash in a better bottle for one month before bottling (moscato). Prior to that, I have been racking per kit instructions. I have not bulk aged for one year, but would not have any qualms. Are you purging your bottles with c02 prior to racking?

They are designed to be "good as glass". I have aged wine in them for close to a year. So far I have had no problems related to them being better bottles and not glass.
Personally I prefure the Better Bottles. Lighter and not prone to shatering glass if bumped!
