Home depot now carries an airtight bucket lid for those who use a bucket to ferment. The lid is food grade and has a center that unscrews. I have tried one and it will keep my airlock pressed up for an entire ferment. The lid is great for the times that you need to get in and add hops, take sample ect.

Their regular orange buckets are not food grade, but the lids do have a gasket, so I am tempted to go that way myself. I have brought bulk grape juice in 6 gallon buckets with gasketed lids, but the last bucket I got only had 4 tabs on the edge once the tamperproof seal was removed. The seal is a little dodgy, and it isn't completely compatible with the Brew Buckets from the LHBS.
