I bought it. About half the box sounds great and the other half sounds hit or miss. Glad it’s packaged in 375ml bottles though. Also glad that cherry CR is in small bottles too.

Exclusive hoarders box says to drink fresh, dont age. A Bruery rep on BA posted these need to be drank within a ******* month.

What kinda ******** is this? Sounds like a way for them to cover their ass when infection reports pop up. “Told you to drink within a month!” But it takes about a month for you to ship to DC and DC to confirm its ready for pickup?

Honestly this kinda scared me off from buying it. I usually only have like 2 shipments a year, there's no way I can see drinking them in a month. BT vanilla tho.

Kind of fascinated that no one on the BA thread asked for a deeper explanation. Apparently they weren't pasteurized, but if I was an HS member, I'd be curious to know the decision making process there. Concerns about flavors? Cost issues for pasteurizing smaller batches?

I dunno, finally releasing bottles of Cherry Chocolate Rain and Vanilla BT and telling people to drink them within a month strikes me as pretty poor optics, but I'm not exactly unbiased when it comes to the Bruery.

I’m gonna likely find someone or my trustee to see if they wanna split. Don’t think I want 12 bottles.

Can anyone post the email that went out with all the specs of the beers? I'm curious.

6 bottles of high ABV beers (albeit smaller format), including two of the same beer, in a month seems like a stretch. But I'd like to try :)

CHERRY CHOC RAIN ISNT INCLUDED IN THIS 'DRINK YOUR BEER BEFORE IT SPOILS' COMMENT IS IT?

raw

Haven't ordered anything, but I just know I'm gonna be like $300~ lighter and kinda hate myself.

Sunday: Ha ha Bruery, I just spent $150 at Berkeley Bowl, you won't get my $$$ this month."

Monday: ****. Foiled again. I would have gotten away with it too had you kids not dropped CCR and BTV.

Oh no, stuck in Placentia again . . .

TY bruwruewry for removing the last fraction of a percent of a doubt that I needed to hang in w/ hoarders. xoxox

Yeah I’m prob one and done after this year unless a couple beers win me over.

My trustee is kinda streaky too so that kind of tarnishes it. Haven’t had a beer yet from this yr!

And the confusion deepens.... apparently these were bottled back in February. Have they already changed that much in 2 months that they issued this 1 month drink by warning? I is so confused. Maybe they will just refund me in 4 months when I request they ship me my box to DC.

Im in the 4th largest metro in America and cant find anyone to buy my remaining port barrel black tuesdays $5 below msrp.

Question. And BTW, I’m asking about this 100% out of morbid curiosity, not because I actually want to drink the things. Are the Bruesicles nonsense all the same base beer? And how are they all so uniformly turbid? Is the turbidity from the fruit additions or something else?

Base is hottenroth, turbidity is because its basically 40% fruit puree.

Drank my first Bruery beers of 2018 last weekend - the orchard project series of 3 sour witbiers. The nectarine and apricot versions were very fruit heavy on the nose and taste was quite sour. The plumcot was our least favorite, seemed buttery and grassy.

While drinking these, they seemed very familiar even though I never had them before. I looked closer at the label and it said all of them also had raspberries. Well, that sounds familiar... Then it hit me, these were basically another batch of Bottleworks XII but with more/different fruit additions.

Sign me up, that beer was good fresh, and was still good in March 2018.

I was not a fan of this when fresh because the tartness of the raspberry really clashed with the phenolic yeast profile.

But after a couple years in the bottle this really turned into something special.

I had Plumcot at Terreux and for the first time ever at a brewery asked for another pour to replace it. It was undrinkable to me. Loads of THP

A month without **** slamming the Bruery is too long.

“On tuesday we brunch”
This might be the one beer that I was totally amazed with myself for not going apeshit and buying several bottles of. Based on description alone I mean **** its gotta be good, right? Well it is. But its the same song and dance from the Bruery. They musta put a ton of maple syrup in it cuz its very noticeable. Not much of a stout, no barrel character and incredibly boozy. I guess there was also coffee in it but ill be damned if I noticed any.

“Girl Grey”
This is basically the beer version of making some bad tea and then adding way too much orange blossom honey to it. I hate myself for even agreeing to split a bottle 3 ways.

“Vindictive 2”
Never again will I purchase anything in this “series.” Horrific raw oak and solvent alcohol mess. This is like a 6:1 ratio of boxed wine blended with black tuesday. Its hard to imagine this being worse than the late takes of wineification and vindictive 1...but it is
