Ok, I really thought I was getting the hang of this, but I need help.
I just transferred my Belgian White into the secondary carboy. There was a thick, brown paste like subastance stuck to the sides of the primary. Does anyone know what that is and if I totally messed up????

Thanks and cheers.

RDWHAHB.

It's trub, yeast and hop residue. Nothing is messed up. There was probably an inch or more of it at the bottom, the stuff stuck to the sides got carried up when the kreusen formed and was left there when it receded.
