I'm looking to make the leap from extract to partial mash. Due to a 5 gal kettle, I'm limited to a partial mash for a 5 gal batch, and I really like the idea of BIAB. I've been tinkering around with brewtoad trying to put together a milk stout recipe, and I'm not sure if the software properly accounts for non full volume bioling.
While it does allow for me to input the boil size(and I feel like 3.5 gal would be my desired amount), I can't tell if it's properly scaling the recipe when i change the boil volume from whatever their default is. So, I'm really lost because I have no idea if my igredients are completely off or not.
