Has anyone brewed with peanuts (not butter or powder)? Not sure if I should roast and put in the mash tun or in the boil.
Might be too oily for the brew
I would add wheat to this and possibly shelfish. Is there a way to brew a peanut wheat oyster stout?!?
I would call this beer Anaphylaxis.
We brewed a pecan porter and double toasted the pecans (put in paper sack to absorb oils) and still had ample head retention. I thought I heard that adding wheat could help with oil absorbency.I'm sure the oils will damage head retention, but it's been done successfully before:
