Hello I have recently been to a few cider festivals and have found that I really like fruity ciders and I am thinking about making my own with mixed flavours like kiwi and strawberry. Does anyone know where I could get the equipment from at a cheap price or give me any advice please.

To be about as cheap as one can be.....
You can ferment the apple juice IN THE CONTAINER YOU BOUGHT IT IN.
You will however need to order some "air-locks" and a "bung" of the appropriate size of the container opening.
You will also need a packet of "yeast" some preffer wine yeast strains, others ale strains, and some are made specifically for ciders.

For under $10 (not including the apple juice itself) you can start fermenting 1-gallon batches in groups of 5.

Hope this helps & welcome to the addiction.

Cider requires very basic equipment. 2 carboys probably one 6 gallon and one 5 gallon. Primary and secondary/aging carboy and your good to go. Any LHBS will sell these along with a a racking cane.

I make a lot of ciders, and they are all fermented in the jug they came in. Granted if I am mixing flavors/fruits I will pour out the required amount of juice and add the other juice concentrate to the jug. Before I rack out to the bottles, I cold crash until the cider is clear or almost clear before bottling.

I just used thawed frozen sour cherries in my latest batch and it went very well so far in primary. The airlock and a proper container is very helpful tools to use.
