Brewing beer with beer.

Has anyone here tried to brew beer using beer? Instead of adding in plain old water, why not use beer? The reason I'm asking is because I've seen this European beer which says "brew with beer"... What is your take?

Why not just drink the beer and make more?

If it was to work, you shpuld use a low FG beer to make sure you dont have too many unfermentables.

Also, the beer would end up with quite a bit more alcohol than normal. Yeast might not like it.
