Hello everyone !

I am following a recipe for a "citrusy" beer. The recipe uses some "Citra" hops, but I can not find some on the website I am ordering. On the other hand, this citra is mostly used for dry hopping. So after looking around I found the "Hop sensation" product that is supposed to be kind of like a dry hopping just before putting in into the bottles.

Do you have any idea if this could make up a bit for the lack of citra dry hopping, and if any of you tried it already ? Thank you !

Your local homebrew shop doesn’t carry citra? Citra are a very popular hop variety and a staple used in many recipes.

As for the hop sensation it’s basically a hop shot. It would be a fine substitute.

Last time I checked morebeer (placed a wholesale order yesterday) had citra by the pound and by the ounce available in both PA and CA.

I’d still try your local shop though

How much Hop Sensation can substitute how Citra in dry hop?
Dry hop make more trub and clog bottle filler. Hop extract seems to be a better substitute.

Amazon sells citra pellets by the pound. Saves a lot of money in the long run
