Brewers edge kettles

Does anyone have a brewers edge kettle from Williams brewing?
A lot cheaper than the megapot 1.2, but is there a reason?

The BE is made from thinner material, does not have a tri-clad bottom, and does not have a heavy lid with a convenient loop handle. The details add up.

Thought that would be the case. I think I will go with the megapot around tax time. Now WOULD be a good time to get one from NB but Christmas shopping has put a big enough dent in my wallet. I do 5 gallon right now in a 7.5gal turkey fryer, I don't think I'm ready for 10 gallon just yet, but I think I'll go with the 10 gallon so I can do an 8 gallon boil and make 2 4gallon fermentations.

I have one of these and so 13 gallon boils in it for 11.5 gallon batches and just love it

it does not have a tri-clad bottom but I do not really see a need for it

I see they are out of stock but look around you can find them for around that price

I think the BB compares more closely with the Tall Boy.. however I like the fact that these two (TB and 1.2) have a much taller aspect ratio to the width. The 1.2 has some nice bling which makes it more attractive to me.
Consider riveted handles and triclad bottom? Reinforced rim?
