Brew thermometer in the oven

Anyone know if its ok for this kind of thermometer to go in the oven at 170?
 
The glass face would be the only thing that I would be concerned with. The rest of the thermometer (we assume) can withstand at least 212 degrees.

So if the glass face is not cracked/compromised then I think you are still OK.

TO be sure, calibrate in boiling water and then in a glass of ice water that has been sitting for a while to bring it down to 32 degrees.
If the readings are accurate then you are good to go.
