Alright people. I finally said something to the local wine supply store about why they didn't carry more beer supplies. He said he just doesn't know what to carry because he doesn't drink a lot of beer and doesn't make beer himself. So we talked a little longer and I offered to put together a list of beer brew supplies that you would expect to be able to walk in and buy at your average brew shop.
He already carries tons of hops and carboys and other equipment but hardly any beer yeast, only hopped extract, rice hulls and irish moss along with a few more miscellaneous things.
So my questions are these:
What are 5 beer/lager yeasts that you would expect to see?
What are 5 specialty grains / extracts you would expect to see?
What are 5 miscellaneous ingredients / non-wine related equipment you would you expect to see?
I have a list started but would like to see what others have to say to get items that the average brewer might want to pick up when they stop in to a hbs.
