It sounds like she is politely offering you an out. So you can look cool to your friends and not have to say she made me get rid of the bike. But I decided to build the beer shed so I sold the bike. Some times the best idea is to keep her happy and if the bike really does not get used a lot, what will you get the most enjoyment out of. If My wife asked me to get rid of the bike I would I love to ride and I ride almost every other day but if it truly made her unhappy I would get rid of it for her. Why would you do some thing that truly made her unhappy. and how nice would it be to be able to brew in the winter in your own brew shed that you get to design and build.
