My propane burner is 12.5" in diameter. If I get a new brew pot, should it be less than or equal to that? I am having trouble finding one that size. They all seem to be 14" and larger.

Not in my experience, or most brewers I'd wager... I use a keggle on a Blichmann burner... So the actual burner element IS smaller than the keggle diameter. No issues with that.
