Brew Perfect makes this unit that's designed with a floating plastic weight, connected by fishing line to the main electronics body. Depending on the gravity of your beer, the weight floats more or sinks. This bouyancy is measured by the electronics in the main body and then communicates via WiFi, and you connect via an App on your phone. It's a way to track gravity while fermenting beer.
