Hi,

I had a glass carboy shatter and cut me really badly when the handles of the Brew Hauler slid and the carboy slipped out and smashed everywhere. The handles are designed to slide, quite unbelievably.

I'm curious to know if something similar has happened to anyone else on this forum with the Brew Hauler?

Ouch man, I hope your okay. I really liked the idea of getting a glass carboy until I heard of this type of risk and went plastic. I know that carboy bombs are not that uncommon.

Was it a 5 or 6 gallon carboy, and were you holding both handles? Reason I ask is I have one, and I can't figure out how it would slip out unless the bottom straps that makeup the 'basket' were somehow open large enough for it to slide thru.

Hope you are okay and that there is no permanent damage...

The handles themselves slipped, not the bottom straps.

It was a 6 gallon carboy.
