Planning a brew day around the 20th or so of this month... Anyone local to the gig harbor area of Washington want to show my buddy and I how to use our new rims system?????? I'll supply beer and food and whatever else!

I'm not in Washington, but if you built it, you can probably run it better than a 3rd party who has a different setup.

I built my RIMS setup a year ago. The specifics of my system (RIMS tube should be primed for pump to work best, setpoint of the temp controller should be below room temp to start, etc) keep others from coming in as experienced as I am.

My suggestion is to do a test brew with just water to make sure you can pump liquid from HLT to mash, then recirc with your controller keeping the water at a set temp. You can also look for leaks and be truly prepared for the live brew.

Good luck!
