Hi,

3 months after buying a second hand keg I'm nearly there..

Plan is to do full volume mash's to negate the need for sparging - which of course means I don't have to make a hot liquor kettle to get started :mug:

To say I'm looking forward to actually brewing something would be the understatement of the year! I've read many many threads and John Palmer 'How To Brew' from end to end so I'm much like someone who's fresh out of college and thinks they know something.

Here's a few pics of my setup. (I didn't do the welding - was rather helpful that our neighbor is a stainless fitter welder). Will post more pics once its in its final resting place and plumbed up.

One thing I'm concerned about is whether I need to shield the valve taps from the burner heat.. Any comments are welcome!

System laid out ready to be plumbed (with hoprocket, therminator & pump)

Looking great for your first brew. My first brew was an undersized kettle and a turkey fryer burner.

Cheers
