So I started by removing and cleaning the ball valves on my brewpot and foundry. I replaced them and water tested to be sure no leaks. I filled the brew pot to 3 gallons. No leaks. Poured the same water into the foundry, forgot I left the ball valve open. Cleaned that up.
Then I was getting my distilled water to mix in for water adjustment, dropped a gallon from about waist high. That split open all over. At least I had extra on hand. Cleaned that up.
Then I went to measure my water salts and the batteries in my gram scale are dead. No prior warning or indication. I always take them out between brews. Winged it. “Yeah, that looks like half a gram.” lol
I have a little 8 ounce spring scale I was able to use for hops.
Hoping nothing else goes wrong. And who knows, maybe this will be one of the best batches I ever made - because thats how stuff goes sometimes.
