What is the difference, other than the temp display, of the SS Brew Tech Brew Bucket and the BrewMaster Brew Bucket?

Yes, I've read the descriptions of both and nothing, once again other than the temp display, jumps out describing the difference.

Thanks.

The Brewmaster has a thermowell which works great with temperature controllers. For me, it was worth the extra $30.

I don't see the thermowell listed as one of the features.

Features:

Certified Food Grade 304 Stainless Steel Construction
Patent Pending Stainless Rotating Racking Valve
6.95 gal Max Capacity
LCD temperature gauge / thermometer
40° Conical Bottom for Trub Trapping
Nests for Storage, Stacks for Ferment!
Molded Silicone Lid Gasket
Spring Loaded Lid Clamps for Airtight Lid Seal
Offset Airlock Hole includes Silicone Stopper
Gallon Markers inside for visual volume assessment
Stainless construction resists damage and is easy to clean
All other specs same as Brew Bucket

Looks like the thermowell is closed on the end inside the bucket. This prevents leaks. However, having a temp probe inside a metal thermowell IMO would not give 100% accurate reading. The temp probe is jacketed by the theromwell.

Has anyone noticed temp differences from thermowell and actual?

There won't be any difference in temps. The therowell is going to be the same temp as the beer/wort that is surrounding it.

If you're not going to use an external controller/probe, it comes with a digital thermometer with a probe that goes in the thermowell.

I think I read somewhere though that just taping the temp probe of a temp controller to the side of the brew bucket does not differ significantly from using the probe in a thermowell.
