I bought a bottle of Brekenridge Brewery Agave Wheat. I noticed a cloudy layer on the bottom of the beer. Is that a yeast cake inside the bottle? If so I'm thinking of harvesting it.

In a wheat beer I'd have to guess that it is almost certainly yeast, although I've never had that particular beer. You could email the brewery to check if it's the same as their primary fermentation strain. With a wheat beer, though, that's almost a sure bet!

I'm thinking that too... I tried calling, but there was no, "Press # to talk to the head brewer." so I didn't get anywhere. I'm going to shoot them an e-mail.

Better yet... I'll just drink, harvest, and see what comes of it and throw it into a small batch.
