Dry-hopping my Imperial Amber (last completed batch:

My new scale.. 55lb max, accurate down to .1oz.. was like $25 :mug:

I know i posted pics of the converted keg last time, but here's the finished look on the inside

the new DIY hop bag

the wort chiller did a pretty good job considering the outside/water temps

Thanks guys.

I'm liking have a scale and the keggle, made things so much easier. I also picked up a food saver deal to seal up the leftover hops for the IPA that i'll be doing this weekend. Figure i better get these in now before it gets to hot to stand outside..lol

That is a nice pick up tube, is that DIY or a pre made item.

Mike

It's a premade one from morebeer.com.

I had a DIY one and it worked fine on testruns but was leaving behind to much IMO. This one happened to work out AWESOME. it's about an 1/8" off of the bottom and leaves behind only a small amount. (i havent calculated, but its not much at all)

Nice set-up, looking forward to being at that point one day... Can you post the Imperial Amber recipe?

I'll post it up when I get home.

But fwiw, it's the kit from Austin Homebrew and I just added some more Saaz hops to the boil and also dry-hopped it with some Chinook to just play around with it.
