Question guys:confused:

I have a brand new chest freezer that was delivered to my house

The delivery guys turned it on and tested the chest freezer prior to leaving.

I turned it off after about an hr or less and did not allow it to deep freeze (full cycle) if im using correct terminology.

My question is; should i allow it to run continuously at least 24hrs to break it in prior to me turning it into a ferment chamber?

Once I attach my johnston a419 controler to it it will stay at much higher temps for fermentation purposes and most likely at least for the foreseeable future will stay above 60F most of the time

Can't image what a "break-in" would accomplish, but rather than have doubts, why not go ahead and let it run for a day?

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply.. probably let it run for a day :) then turn back off because i'm waiting for the temp controller to arrive any day now

Maybe somebody else with refrigeration expertise has a good answer for as well :)

Thanks for the reply as always you guys are cool people!!!!
