Hello there,

I bought a stainless steel spigot at bargain fittings and forgot to order a hose barb fitting. Now I'd rather not spend $5 for shipping a single piece.

Can I get a brass fitting for my house barb on my stainless steel spigot?

Will the two metals react? Should I not use brass for boil and or wort?

Thanks,
Lorne

Your not supposed to. But I had that set up on my rig for years before I went with camlocks. I didn't die or notice any weird corrosion on the connection.

Thread tape and it's all good. It is more of a concern of you were brewing everyday.

Fyi, you can get ss npt to metric barb real cheap on eBay via China.
