brass fittings

Hey guys,

I've got a kettle valve and two brass fittings. I know for certain that one of the fittings is lead free, but the other I can't verify. Is there anything I should do to prepare these to use, or are they good as they are?

Soak is a mild vinegar solution for 15 minutes and then rinse. This should prevent any problems.
