I'm thinking about making some wine this summer. Can I bottle wine in 22oz beer bottles? Or do they need to be corked bottles? I have a place to store them in the basement on their sides.
No reason why you can't use 22 oz bottles. At my brother's winery we always purge the bottles with nitrogen before adding the wine, not sure if Co2 will do the job or not. I suppose anything that gets the air out should work. As far as capping vs corking shouldn't be a problem either, again it's what ever keeps the oxygen from the wine. That's my thoughts on it.
