Bottling in 2 litre PET bottles

Hi all, I bottled my last brew in mainly 2 litre PET bottles primed with 4 gm brewing sugar. As an experiment I squeezed one to remove all headspace and tightened the top. After 12 days they all look identical, beautifully clear, all nice and firm EXCEPT the squeezed bottle. It has the same headspace as the others now, but the bottle is not firm at all. I brewed again today, and when I bottle, I plan to add 10 gm brewing sugar to one bottle, squeeze and tighten. I will keep you posted (groan....)

You used 0.14 oz in about a half gallon (2 litres). For proper carbonation, by my calculations you needed more like 0.4 oz in that volume. No wonder you're not getting good pressure in there.
