Hey all, so I was talking to a sales guy from my local HB store about my dislike of all the time it takes to bottle all my beer and he says "why not just keg it"? I say, well I have a few keg systems already cuz as we all know we LOVE beer but I use them for store bought kegs and looks to be a simple transition to convert my small machine to take a couple 5 gal. tanks but my main concern is that I like to give away bottles to friends (cuz were not "allowed" to sell it!) and don't want to make 2 batches, 1 keg, 1 bottle and he says "keg it all and when you want to give bottles away just pour it off your tap and cap it and it is the same as 1st bottling as it is already carb'd and will last the same".
Really? is this true? can I keg and pour from the keg, cap a bottle and it will last a reasonable amount of time?
thanks for your input.

Absolutely, I do it all the time. Check out some of the homemade beer guns that have been posted. You can also just use a picnic tap and a bottle wand as long as you turn you co2 down to about 5psi. I assume from your location that you were at the Brew Hut? If so, I was down there today as well.

Hey celticcolorado, yes you are correct! I am a regular there. I just never even thought about this idea and was questionably confused and excited! thanks for your input and will check out the beer guns.
