I have always kegged my beer. I have a wedding to go to so I would like to bottle some and give to friends. I have made a 5 gallon batch. I would like to bottle just a gallon or two. How much priming sugar would i need for one gallon and when do I add it?

I would use about an ounce of corn sugar per gallon. There are plenty of calculators out there if you plan on using a different type of sugar. I've always used corn sugar and always used 5 ounces in 5 gallons of beer. Boil a cup of water with the sugar and dump into a bottling bucket. Then siphon the beer on to to mix well.

I usually pull a few bottles off every batch I keg and just use Coopers drops.
