My brother-in-law is having a party. He is getting a keg of Sweetwater Road Trip.(Awesome Stuff):tank:

When the party is over (since I won't be there) he thinks he will have not emptied the keg. Is it possible to remove the beer from the keg through the tap and then bottle it? He has done some homebrewing, but has no kegging equip., but he does have bottles and a capper. Will it work?

Thanks for your input. You guys are great.

Cheers and Fair Winds,

Yes, you can bottle it, but it won't keep long. It will have been exposed to a lot of oxygen if you are using a pony pump instead of compressed CO2 to deliver the beer from the keg. Plus it will have lost some carbonation, and will lose a bit more when you pour it into the bottle. I have actually done this before, but the beer only kept for about a week.
