I have a batch of apfelwein in the fermenter and it has cleared up and ready to bottle. I want to bottle some carbed and some uncarbed. For the uncarbed can I just use regular beer bottles and caps. I don't have any wine making equipment and really don't want to go out and purchase (yet). Has anybody had any experience with this?

I can't see why you could not bottle the uncarbed portion in beer bottles. Just don't add any priming sugar.

I have heard of some using coopers carbonations drops. I also heard that carbed is the way to go. I added 6 oz of dextrose to my 5 gallon batch and after two weeks the carbonation is minimal. Taste is still good and alcohol content is high enough that I have had to use the backspace button multiple times to write this after one beer, two apfelweins.
