As mentioned in another topic, I used some Beano to restart stuck fermentation. Obviously, I won't be bottling soon, but after what I have been reading, I wondered.... Has anyone successfully bottled after using it? Other sites mention cutting priming sugar, but do not specify by what amount. I am planning on cutting my priming sugar in half, but wonder... will it be enough. Just planning now, to avoid a mess later. (And in case you are wondering, I used 4 crushed tabs) :mug:

I don't bottle, but I had a heck of a lot of foaming in my Mild. It stuck at 1.016. Adding Beano (only two) took it to 1.008. I kegged it after it was stable for four days, but had to de-gas a couple times before it stopped. If you give it the usual 2-3 weeks before bottling, I think you'll be ok. That's about how long it took for the Mild to stop. It stabilized at 1.6 Brix, which is about 1.006.

It might be worth getting a finish hydrometer, if you don't have one already.
