It went smoothly to bottle my first brew. Now they are sitting in my secondary refrigerator at 68*F to bottle condition.

It did go smoothly because I read a bunch of posts on here to learn the better ways to not make such a mess lol. Thanks!

Congrats! I'm sure the beer will be great.

Best advice I ever got re: bottling was to place my bottling bucket on the counter over my dishwasher, open the dishwasher door and fill bottles over it. When you're done, just close the dishwasher. No worries about spills and no sticky towels on the floor. Brilliant.

Congrats!!! As the great Tom Petty once said, The waiting is the hardest part..Time to get another batch going.

Yep this^......my car boys are always full of fermenting beer. Every Friday is bottling day and every Saturday is brew day. Gotta keep the flow going otherwise you'll run out of great beer.

Lol nice. I want to wait for this one to taste it. I really want to know how it is carbonated so I can make adjustments to improve it.

Congrats on your first batch.

I think it will take longer to carb up at 68F. 70 or so seems to be the norm. And higher seems to be ok - mine condition at 77 in the summer. In the winter mine used to sit at 65 and they took 5 - 6 weeks to carb up.

Thanks. I did jump it up to 72

some take longer than others. I always try 6% and lower at 1 week, above six I try the first after 2 weeks.

good job, I am sure they will be great!

Well. Tastes really good. It has a good citrus almost like a grapefruit. Not a ton of carbonation. It isn't as clear as I wanted but I think I'm happy with my first brew!

Nice!! It's your first batch so if it tastes good it's a 100% success. For better carbing use a priming calculator and make sure the temp is warm enough. For clarity you can cold crash, add clarifiers like Irish moss or gelatin or just work on your cooling, racking and bottling technique. Cheers!! :mug:

Thanks! I also added a side pickup dip tube to my boil kettle. I hope it helps to keep it clearer. My beer did have 4 different cold hop additions.
