Hi Everyone,
This maybe a silly question.......
I was wondering whether anyone had noticed that bottle carbonation ever imparted what appears to be an increase in the bitterness of a beer. I brewed a pale ale that I bottled a week ago. Before bottling I had a great hop forward stone fruit smell and taste. Following bottle carbonation I still enjoy the flavor but it now has what I perceive to be an increased bitterness. I sanitize all my bottles and have never had an infection. I am throughly enjoying my beer but for curiosity I wondered whether anyone else had lost some of the "juiciness" during bottle carbonation and whether kegging and forced carbonation with CO2 would prevent this?
As always thanks for the replies in advance.
