I am pleased to announce that my first batch is fermenting! Now, I am lookign ahead here, but I was wondering about sanitation for bottle caps. Can I just drop them in the iodine solution I've got and then pull them out one at a time as I bottle each individual one? I have also heard (from the guy I bought my equipment from) that people put bottles in the oven before bottling to purley sanitize the caps. Glad to have found this forum. Expect more questions. I am a worrier. Cheers.

Just put them in with the sanitizer for the bottles and pull them out 1 at a time as you bottle. Just a suggestion, but I like the wallpaper trough method. Put your bottles in the trough with your caps, roll them around and pull them out to bottle. Ask away, this place is great!
