Ok so some research has me a little freaked out. How likely are bottle bombs? I’ve got some cider (I know that’s more likely) and beer bottle conditioning. I waited 3 weeks on the beer and 2 weeks on the cider. I did the cider first and without a calculator, just guessed with the amount I put in. I know I put too much sugar in, and I burped them a few times, once they overflowed. For the beer I just bottled yesterday, but I used the calculator and even undershot it a bit. I’m using 16oz flip top bottles. They are high quality obviously able to hold the carbonation from those crazy ciders. But should I worry and burp the beers just to make sure? Not sure here... I don’t want to kill my kids with these bottle bombs. Haha
