Single family home, natural gas cast-iron boiler,
High temp was set very high, like 220, so I lowered it to be more like 180.
Now I read about boiler condensation and the importance of the return temp. Why isn't there a return temp gauge, if this is so critical to the life of the f*%'in boiler..?
What mucks things is that PO installed a radiant heat branch to system, so it makes it harder to see the actual pipe routing, mixing valve included... I am not even sure the install is really textbook. Gotta take my sketchbook down there.
